We need change and someone who is willing to fight for the needs of our businesses and our community. I promise to look to the future and be a representative that will listen to your ideas, fight for the needs of our community and most importantly use common sense thinking while making decisions.
Very excited to have received the endorsement from the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters! My husband is a carpenter, my father is a heavy equipment operator and so many of my friends and family members are in the trades & construction industry.
Implement and advise on housing options, incentives and programs to help bring back affordable options. We need to lower fees, streamline planning & zoning and find new ways to work with our builders and developers and encourage affordable development throughout all of Rochester.
Creating and implementing innovative and viable programs and resources to help our small business recover and encourage others that Rochester is the community they should start their business.
Our small businesses are struggling and need our help TODAY! We have a lot of work rebuilding our local economy!
It's time to ask for our community to speak up and let our City Council Members and Mayor know what is important to you. What changes you would like to see and how do you think we can make Rochester a better community! Email me with all ideas email@example.com
Today it is so important that those that protect and serve us know that we trust and support them. I have full trust in chief Franklin's vision and direction with RPS and hope that we can continue to grow trust between our citizens and our local officers.
Together we grow. Together we keep our city safe.
Creating a safe place with adequate resources to help with not only the basic needs of our homeless community, but making sure we are addressing the mental health of our community members and providing programs. We need to stop spending funds on temporary and expensive solutions and work with county officials to find a more permanent solution.
We need to stop making poor decisions and make sure that we are spending funds appropriately. We have a $441 million budget, we are growing and we need to make sure we are making common sense decisions and not continuing to go over budget on projects. Did you know the city spent over $1 million dollars on paint for bike lanes?
I am a strong supporter of programs supporting activities which enrich the lives of our youth. Change starts by educating, creating impactful environments and empowering them to be successful in life.
I spent 2 years working with homeless children in the Charlotte/Mecklenburg school system as a mentor and friend to numerous students. We worked to make sure they received the education they needed, the emotional support and resources needed to succeed and break the intergenerational transfer of homelessness and poverty within the community. Bridging the gap and creating programs to help those in poverty or in situations of homelessness find the appropriate resources needed to help them and their families is something very important to me.
Through the years, I have also worked with and supported numerous local non-profits, as well as, national organizations to end hunger and poverty, support our children and educational systems, support those within our community with developmental disabilities and programs that offer hope and support to those battling childhood cancer.
Much of my career, was spent in the banking and finance industry working for large banks, small community banks and mortgage brokerage firms. The skills and knowledge from over 12+ years in finance I believe will help me be able to look at budgets, plans and proposals with an objective view and help make viable decisions for our community. I worked in both the NASCAR racing industry and outdoor industry as well as in the finance/marketing industries while living in North Carolina. 5 years ago my husband and I decided to come back to the area to start our family and focus on following our dreams of starting our own business. After 3 long years of hard work and never giving up, we were finally able to open our business and make our dreams come true. The same values that helped me push through to follow our dreams are the same strong, determined values for change that we need within our city council.
I look forward to getting to know all of you, hearing your concerns and listening to your ideas on what we can change or do better for our community and ward 4.
